Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Najikk (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use this website – a local guide to food, cafes, places and things to do across India that links to our main site, Najikk.in. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site.
1. Information we collect
- Anonymous popularity counts. When you click or pause on a place, area or link, we add one to a counter for that page so we can show the most popular places first. The count is not linked to you. To avoid counting the same visit twice, a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address is kept for about 10 minutes and then deleted automatically.
- Technical logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider may record basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, date and time) for security and to keep the site working.
- Messages you send us. If you contact us, we receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, email address and message.
2. Cookies
We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. WordPress sets essential cookies only for site administrators who log in. If we add analytics or advertising in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
3. How we use information
- To run, secure and improve the website.
- To show the most popular places, areas and dishes first.
- To reply to your messages.
- To meet legal obligations.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers who help us run the site (such as our hosting provider), or when required by law.
5. Links to Najikk.in and other websites
This site links to Najikk.in and to other websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your data.
6. How long we keep data
Hashed IP addresses used for counting are deleted after about 10 minutes. Popularity counts are anonymous and kept while the feature runs. Messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and for our records.
7. Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, you may ask to access, correct or erase personal data we hold about you, withdraw consent you have given, nominate another person to exercise your rights, and raise a grievance with us. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Children
This site is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the site and the limited data we hold. No website can be completely secure.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site grows. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
11. Contact and grievances
